MacChess 2.5.1 is the version you want. It is a very good chess program that will run on the older Mac's. It is also free. You can find a copy on the infomac archives or at Gambit Soft (link in links section on this message board). Another excellent program is Sigma Chess lite 4.0.2. It is also free. Chessmaster 4000 is available if you have a CD rom drive. It is included in older copies of CM 5000 for windows and you should be able to get it for $10 - $15 rather than paying full price ~$40 for it. The last version of Sargon that I know of is Sargon V, but it is not available. I have Sargon III, first program I bought for my 1st computer, 128K Mac in 1984. But the freeware programs above are better and more versital. William wbryant@ix.netcom.com
