I thought it would read them too, so I just tried it on my Classic running
system 7.  Doesn't work.  I think you have to install some extension, or
possibly have a superdrive (HD, 1.4mb capacity).  My drive appears to be a
400/800k capacity, and won't read a 720k pc disk.

It's funny running that old Classic.  The 9" b/w monitor looks so small, it's
like peering into a nickelodeon.  And it operates like molasses, that little cpu
was overmatched by sys 7.

I've got a lot of old computers in the basement, apple 2's, a lisa, fat macs,
and some old chess programs.  Let me know if you continue to have trouble
finding what you need.
