Go to www.chessbaseusa.com and scroll down to the T-Notes link. Click on it,
then click on the link for the Sept. 27, 1998 issue of T-Notes ("Hash tables for
Fritz5"). It will explain how to determine proper hash table configuration, as
well as the hard drive activity you described.
