I use 2D boards, but many users simply love 3D boards for some reason. Beyond that, nice looking boards are a finishing touch to any chess program. This tool would be used for both 3D interfaces and for jazzing up 2D boards. The tools provided w/ VB and VC++ aren't the greatest for graphical dev. Thanks. P.S. I intend to play w/ lighting sources and the ability to easily move and rotate the board. Thanks.
