I have not seen the new color version, but I did buy a used black & white
version about a year ago. I can't really tell you much about it's strength but I
did one time pit Tom Kerrigan's TSCP against Gameboy Chessmaster set at level 5
and Tom's program won of coarse. I don't know how much stronger it would get at
higher levels. I'm sure that this pgn file won't tell you much, but it's below.
If you can afford to buy one I'm sure that a Palm Pilot or a Windows CE computer
with a Chess program would be better
