Dear chessfriends, some days ago I bought a German "Mephisto Shredder" release including Ken Thompson's endgame CDs. It really was a bargain. The software did not show the version. Well, it looks like Shredder 2, but some functions which are mentioned in a Komputer Korner article are not available. However, the only reason to buy it, were the endgame CDs. Unfortunately, there is very poor documentation(you can't have everything...:)Who can tell me how to use the endgame CDs? As far as I understood, unlike Tablebases Thompson's CDs are not primarily indicating you the number of moves to checkmate. Is this a drawback? And: Can I tell Fritz 532 to share the endgames with Shredder? Thanks for help, Frank
