The determination of world champion should be entertaining. So I don't mind. If it creates more interest in chess this way. Great! If you want to know know who the strongest player in the world is, the best way is to look at the ratings. But that's so boring! A 24 game match is less effective way of determining who the best player is and is not as entertaining as the system that will be used. World champion is a "title" and not more than that.
