Remember though that differences in culture (which generally mean speaking a different language) may lead to what you find aggressive. In general this is not what is intended by the speaker. I am a speaker of Spanish, and an English teacher, I am confronted every day with words such as LOOK and the most offensive "Who cares?" which are direct translations from non-offensive Spanish phrases. So don't take it personnally.
