Subject: Fritz GUI: "show book moves" not updated?

When shifting from the old 233 machines to the new 550's, I noticed that the
display of book moves is no longer being updated, i.e. the Fritz GUI always
displays the moves for the initial position until the engine is out of book.
This happens regardless of the book and engine in use and also regardless
whether I use the Fritz GUI itself or the Hiarcs/Junior/Nimzo version of it.

Has anyone else seen this on his machine?

Another (though very rare) problem:
Sometimes it happens that a book tree becomes corrupted; only "-- --" is
displayed for the book moves and the only remedy is to reinstall the book.
I have no idea how this can happen (it was not related to a crash of the Fritz
GUI), but it has happened 4-5 times on 3 different machines since I use Fritz
5.32...
My question: which of the book files contains the learning info? I'd like to try
to salvage at least that, since of course reinstalling the whole book deletes
all book learning. :(
