I thought Wbengine.exe was a program that ran outside of winboard and gave winboard engines all the functionality of TCB's chess library. It simply uses the same protocol as winboard does to talk to the engines. For example, I thought people were using wbengine.exe to give winboard engines an AUTO232 interface. I have never used wbengine.exe, so maybe I am confusing it with another program that Remi wrote. - Dan
