I do not understand your times with Hiarcs7.32(2 minutes to see the mate after Rxc4) My hiarcs7.32 could see evaluation of mate against itself before Rxc4 after 59 seconds on pentium200 (I used 64 Mb hash tables for it). It needs a long time to find a better move than Rxc4 but it is another story. Hiarcs is simply slower in this position and every program has positions when it is slower. Uri
