And I thought it was just me. So far HIARCS 7.32 has been a sad disappointment. I run it on K6-3 450MHZ system and it consistently loses to CM 5000 (yes 5000!) running on my Pentium (not Pentium II) 266 laptop. What's strange is that most of the time HIARCS will get a completely won position out of the opening and then all of the sudden it makes a horrible blunder and loses quickly. Once it was about to win an elementary endgame with three connected pawns against 1 pawn on the same side but incredibly HIARCS allowed a draw by repeating the position 3 times. I no longer use the program because I believe there is clearly something wrong with it. By the way Fritz5.32 (on the K6-3 system) smokes CM 5000 on my laptop.
