Indeed.  Most programs have a maximum search depth somewhere between 30 and 45
ply (Hiarcs, MChess, Chessmaster, Chess Tiger, Junior, Fritz, Virtual etc.).

I think Rebel (60 ply) and Shredder (99 ply) are the only commercial programs
with such high max depths (are there any others?).
THat's also the reason why Rebel takes very long to reach its max depth on
Albillo 01. All the others quickly go to their max depth of 30-45, while Rebel
slows down around ply 43 because its selective search goes to 60 ply and sees
stuff like promotions and captures.
