Each handicap value is based on only 90 computer games. To get a better picture several hundred of games would be needed (and also a lot more different engines). The values are probably rather different for humans (this is also my experience) but hundreds of games would be needed too. The values I got are also only valid if white gives a piece. If black does so the values would be different because black has an additional disadvantage of not playing the first move. I also like to play odds games because you face the full strength of the computer but yet have a good chance to win. Please send me your results from any odds games you play. Maybe it is possible to calculate more accurate handicap values from a broader database. Regards, Christoph Fieberg
