Go up one level in this thread

Good question Alfred.

Two reasons:

1) The original post although apparently untrue, was about the moderation of a
member which is always on topic. The way Kenneth presented it and his second
post was a little strong, but since I did not know whether it was true or not
(it was quickly shown to be not true when K1 posted), the information may have
been valid.

2) I am moderating with a relatively light hand at the moment and more or less
following through on my moderation stance. The moderators will be at this for 7
months and the last thing we need is to be accused of being delete happy. So, I
am basically sticking to my moderation stance and mostly deleting abusive and
profane posts. However, it IS important, at the same time, to cut this type of
stuff out early, hence my decision to ask people to not respond.

I think we can all handle most of the obnoxious posts and we can all decide
(with a small reminder from a moderator) to ignore them. I have deleted one
thread so far and Bruce has deleted at least one post, so we are not just
totally sitting back, but at the same time, we are trying to minimize the
controversies.

Hopefully, this helps.

KarinsDad :)
