I hope you won't be offended when I say this but using a computer and not
learning what copying and pasting are is a bit like buying a car and not
learning how to drive it. FEN notation is simply a way of encoding a chess
position in as few characters as possible. It makes it easier to pass on
positions to others as they never have to manually set up the pieces.

Bear with me and I'll explain how you do this.

Copying and pasting can be done a number of ways, but this is one of the
simplest:

COPYING

- Essentially all you have to do is highlight what you want with the mouse by
bringing the mouse cursor to the beginning point (upper-left if it's more than
one line) of the text.
- Click on it with the left button and while keeping the button pressed bring
the mouse cursor to the end of the text and let go. You will see the chosen text
all darkened in navy blue (this explanation goes for Windows operating sytems -
I can't attest to others).
- Content that the darkened text is what you want, press Ctrl-C.

You have now copied the highlighted (dark blue) text into the computer's memory.
Now all you have to do is choose a place to paste it. This is done by pressing
Ctrl-V. You can thus copy texts from a homepage, open up your word processor,
click on the text area, and then paste it by pressing Ctrl-V.

With FEN notation and Hiarcs (or any Chessbase chess program) it has been made
simple by Chessbase. Copy the FEN position following the steps above (here is
one for practice):

2r5/np1qbpkr/1n2p1p1/3pP3/pP1P1PR1/P2Q1N2/3BN2P/6RK w - - 0 24

Open up Hiarcs 7.32, type 's' or press on 'Board' and then on 'Setup pos...'.
Now just click on 'Paste FEN' and the position should appear on the board.

To share a position, all you have to do is have the position on the board and
then type 's' or press on 'Board', then on 'Setup pos...' and now choose 'Copy
FEN'. Begin writing you message and simply hit Ctrl-V at any point in order to
paste the FEN position. That's all there is to it! Now you can say you're only a
chess player who knows how copying and pasting are done. ;-)

Anyway, I don't believe the whole game is important unless you want
