With Fernando resigning as moderator we have, for the third consecutive moderation period, one of the moderators resigning. Last moderation period, I resigned (with about 1.5 months to go). This isn't widely known as I didn't post about it on this board (I wasn't keen on disrupting the group, hopefully its not such an issue now). The period before that Bruce resigned, also near the end of his term. I think all three resignations were at least in part related to differences between the members of the moderation team. Its fair to say that the 3 man moderation team concept isn't working very well from a team perspective. Perhaps we could look at changes to the moderation system in an effort to avoid this sort of thing happening in the future. Here are some ideas: - Each moderator has a period of 2 months where only they can delete posts. - at least 2 moderators must agree before deleting a post. The disadvantage of both of these ideas is that they reduce the chance that a really stupid message is deleted quickly. Perhaps this isn't such a big price to pay for a more harmonious system. cheers, Peter
