Go up one level in this thread

Its fair to say that the 3 man >moderation team concept isn't working very well from a team perspective. I had heard that you resigned since you often got outvoted 2 to 1. Is this true? If so, why are you recommending a solution below where moderators have to vote on deletions? > >Perhaps we could look at changes to the moderation system in an effort to avoid >this sort of thing happening in the future. I think that Fernando should have just resigned for personal reasons if he felt that strongly. There are a lot of people who spout off about personal rights and offenses, but are too blind to see when they are offending others. It is NOT the moderators who always cause the problem, they are just convenient targets for the real people who do. It is ALWAYS the same people jumping on the anti-moderator bandwagon whenever a problem occurs. And quite frankly, I can still count on one hand the number of Emails that we have received about inappropriate posts. The problems with moderators resigning are generally not due to the forum, but appear to be with individual moderators and their own personal problems with the job. Part of the job may be that you may not be moderating like you thought you would or should. But, quite frankly, that is up to the individual moderator and the group elected. If the period of time is too long, or the person does not want to vote for deletions or whatever, then you will still have resignations. There is NO solution that will work for everyone and these attempts to come up with one are kind of silly. Just let the moderators do their job. Just let moderators who are frustrated quit. Just let the system work without attempting to tweak it when it is OBVIOUS that practically no matter what you do, it will not work for all candidates in the future. > >cheers, >Peter KarinsDad :)
