I think the current system works fine. I think the new moderators have an
adjustment period. I think people do not mind taking the job, but may bulk at

If this was not the 4th or 5th time in the last 8 months that this has been
discussed on the forum and no concensus arrived at, I would probably agree with
you. However, what I see occuring is that each new set of moderators as
individuals have different ideas on how it should be done and since it is a
volunteer position, also do not want to feel constrained by a bunch of rules
layed down by previous moderators (or other members).

By default, when you have more than 1 person in a room, you have the chance of
contention. 3 people almost guarantee it.

So far, we have deleted one obviously obnoxious thread and one joke. We have
been relatively tolerant (too tolerant according to some people). It is just
unfortunate that the person whose posts have been deleted made a big deal of it.
That cannot ever be helped. People have the option to yell unfair.
