Several programs will give you ratings based on your games with them, Fritz,
Nimzo, Hiarcs, CM6000, MChess, and others, I'm sure. In the case of Fritz and
Chessmaster, the program enforces certain rules for a rated game, such as no
takebacks, and no looking at the computer's analysis window. The problem is
that these ratings are not necessarily very good predictors of the rating you
would get by playing against humans, in FIDE tournaments or local ones. Is that
what you meant?
