Everytime I started Fritz 5.32 or Hiarcs 7.32, the programs crashed. I figured out, that it had something to do with the sound. I managed to switch off all sounds in Fritz and Hiarcs - and had no more crashes. Then i decided to re-install Direct-X, because I thought, that maybe Hiarcs had replaced some DLL's, and after that the programs worked a bit better with sound. But I still had some occasional crashes, so I decided to let all sounds switched off. Since then, both programs work fine, without crashes. Maybe this helps? If it works for you too, then maybe we should tell Chessbase about it! Greetings, Heiko.
