One thing I want to say is that
In july FIDE annouce new ratings . According to that Karpov 2709
Much Much Better than many others
About Software:- There are many, so many but few are amazingly good enough,
you find there list and software links at
www.gambitsoft.com
they catagorize few good ones according to different levels
