All programs will make goofy moves from time to time (just scan the messages in
this list and you will see complaints about strange moves made by Hiarcs, Fritz,
etc.
And speed chess makes dumb moves even more likely. Examine the thread just
below about a strange human/human match. If the game score is true, then I
would say you would be hard pressed to see such a goofy game by two club players
at 40/2 -- much less Kasparov -- who made a colossal blunder (again -- pending
validation of the acutal moves).
Which is why I despise all forms of speed chess. But that is my personal
disposition. For those that enjoy it -- have at it.
