With an average of 40 moves per ply and Alpha Beta doing approximately the
square root of the number of moves per branch on average, this equals about
19.23 million nodes (including branch nodes) at ply 9.

At 200 KNPS (I do not know how fast Hiarcs searches, but this may be a fair
guess on a fast system), this equates to about 96 seconds. This would leave
about 84 seconds for selective searches per move in a 40/2 game.

Of course, I am not using traditional Alpha Beta in my program and I do not own
Hiarcs (i.e. I do not know their definition of depth 9/30), so I could be
talking out of my hat here.
