Well done, Baldomero. I hope 'we' still have some options for a draw. it will be
very difficult to win from the current position. Here are my analysis:

Programmes used: Hiarcs 7.32, Fritz 5.32, Shredder 3, Junior 5.0, Crafty 16.6,
Genius 6, Wchess 2000 and Zarkov 5 in four Pentium computers, with an analysis
of about 16 hours.

Three basic options for Garry K. :
A) 21 h3 (The most likely one)
B) 21 Rae1
C) 21 Rad1

A) 21 h3

A1) 21 ... Ra4 (recommended by Fritz, Hiarcs, Shredder and Crafty)

                A11) 22 Rab1 Qc4
                     23 Qh7 Qe6

                         A111) 24 Bd2 Re4
                                 25 Bc3 Nd4 (Shredder +1.01)

                                 A112) 24 Rfe1 Re4
                   		          25 Re4 fe4 (Alternative also suggested by
Shredder +1.01)

		A12) 22 Rae1 Qb2
                      23 Qh7 Ra2
                      24 Qg6 Nd4
25 Kh1 (This is the main line. Hiarcs and Fritz are
totally co-incident)

	          A121) 25 ... Qb3
                        26 Qh7 (Hiarcs + 0.23)

                  A122) 25 ... Qc2 (Fritz -0.03)

                 A13) 22 Rad1 Bf4
	               23 Bf4 Qf4
                       24 Qh7 Ne5
                       25 Qh8 Rd4 (Crafty +0.22)

	A2) 21... Rh8

		A21) 22 Rad1 Qb2
                       23 Rb1 Qe2
                       24 Rfe1 Qh5 ( Genius +0.33)

		A22) 22 Ra2 f4
		       23 Bh6 Qd2
                       24 Ra1 Qb2
                       25 Bd4 Qa1
                       26 Ra1 Ra1 (Zarkov +0.29)

		A23) 22 f4 Bd4 +
                       23 Kh1 b5
		       24 ab5 Qb5
                       25 Rae1 Kc7
                       26 Be7 Qb2 (Junior +0.50)

B) 21 Rae1

	B1) 21 ... Qa4
		22 h3 Rh8
		23 b3 Qd4
		24 Rd1 Qc5
		25 Rfe1 Re8 (Hiarcs + 0.16)

	B2)	21 ... Qg4
		22 Be3 Ra4
		23 h3 Qh4
                24 Bb6 Rb4
 		25 Be3 Rb2 (Crafty + 0.33)

	B3)	21 ... Qb2
		22 Rb1 Qd4
 		23 Qh7 Rh8
		24 Qg6 Bh2+
		25 Rh1 (Zarkov + 0.26)

C) 21 Rad1

	C1)	21 .... Qa4
		22 h3

		C11)	22 .... Qa2
			23 Qh7 Rg8
			24 Bh6 Bd4 (Genius + 0.51)

		C12) 22 .... Bf4
			23 Bf4 Qf4
    			24 Rfe1 Ne5
			25 Qd5 Nc6
			26 g3 Qg5 (Crafty +0.26)

	C2)	21 .... Ra4
		22 h3 Qc4
		23 Qh7 Qe6
		24 Rfe1 Re4
		25 Re4 fe4
		26 Be3 Bb2 (Hiarcs + 0,10)

	C3)	21 .... Qb2
		22 h3 Qc2
		23 Rb1 Bd4
		24 Rbe1 Ra4
		25 Be7 Ne5 (Shredder + 1.03)

Summary.

21 h3 seems the best option for G.K. , but there is no clear danger for black
after 21 .... Ra4. Special attention deserves the line A12), where Hiarcs 7.32
and Fritz 5.32 agree. Only one of the programmes –Shredder 3- evaluates the
current position as being better for white. All other programmes evaluate the
position from a slight advantage for white to equality. No advantage for black
is sought, either.

Tom.
