The default is Selectivity=5 for Hiarcs 7.32. I want to make Selectivity=7 the new default, but no matter what I do, Hiarcs still loads with Selectivity=5. Editing the Engines.ini or H7 engines.ini files has no effect, insofar as I can discover. Maybe it could be done by editing the F5.ini file, but I don't know how. The same applies to the other Hiarcs 7.32 engine parameters, except hash size. Insofar as I've been able to discover, only the default hash table size can be changed permanently (upon loading). Can it be done? --JRM
