Hello everyone I've seen this post a couple of times but never found any good answer to it..... How do I make Fritz 5.32 to played more varied openings? I'm using the english talk CD (F5BOOK.CTG) and do not have space to copy the whole 100Mb on my harddrive. Yes, I unchecked the tournament flag Yes, I tried to move variety slider towards the plus sign. At the moment Fritz will only answer e4 with e6 (i.e. the french defence) or e5. Increasing the variety slider it will play more varied but it will be openings like Nimoswitch defence (Nc6) and other strange openings. But it will NEVER play the Sicilian, Caro cann, Aljechin or any other of the more popular openings. If I do a "open tree" (Ctrl F11) I can see that the Fritz weights for the sicilian is -59, so according to the manual (page 35) the chances of fritz playing that opening are minimal?! changing the values won't work either since the book is on read only media (CD). I checked the T-notes on chessbaseusa (June 20) but can't say its really helped me. So if you have any tips or hints they are very appreciated. Thanks in advance Michael
