Hello, I have entered many games in my database Chess Assistant 1.4. All was working allright during a long period. Suddenly, every game played by Hiarcs 6 and saved on the hard disk ( I did not make a copy on a floppy disk ) had changed. Not the game in itself which could be normally loaded, but the name "Hiarcs 6" had been changed and replaced by a group of numbers ( always the same ) that makes difficult the conversion of this database into PGN files. How could I eventually repair this database ? Has someone already heard of that ? Any advice, suggestion welcome. I am looking for a converter that would allow me to convert Chess Assistant files directly to Chess Base 7.0 files, without passing through .PGN files. Does it exist ? Any advice, adress welcome.
