That might be so as i don`t know those figures but i believe that any kind of
advantage no matter how small it may be is helpful to the program and can make a
difference in some games because consider just a few seconds per move through a
whole game and that can add up to quite an amount of seconds!

My other comparison: James Walker was running a match between Fritz5.32 and
Hiarcs7.32 at Game/15 and out of 40 games played, Fritz led Hiarcs 27 to 13!
This gives Fritz5.32 a winning advantage of 67.5% in this match. He now
increased the Hash size for Hiarcs7.32 and played an additional 74 games and the
outcome was better for Hiarcs7.32 even though it lost. The final score from the
74 games at Game/15 was 39 to 35 in Fritz`s favor. This is Only a 52.7% -
Winning advantage. Giving more Hash size to Hiarcs "decreased" Fritz`s winning
advantage by 14.8% by the comparison of these two matches! I want to make a note
here that all his games played were using two computers so i don`t know if this
has any influence in comparison to using one computer to play matches.Plus i
don`t know if the first match of only 40 games compared to the second match of
74 games would have an influence to this Win Percentage!
Tania, i also play single computer matches and i have alot of fun doing this
and there is alot of debates on this forum about the single computer matches not
being as accurate as playing the same matches on two computers. I believe that
we should compare all our results and log all the games played using one
computer and do the same for two computer matches and then compare the results!
Mark Young played a couple hundred games using both methods and he claims that
there is little difference using both methods!

Best regards,
Terry
