Subject: Several big upsets; Kamsky launches outraged protest!

Author: James Robertson

Kamsky got slaughtered in his second game (read Rohde's excellent analysis at
www.uschess.org to find out how he spoiled a very nice position) and launched a
protest about the behavior of nearby people. As yet, It is unknown whether his
father was behind it, or he is proving the adage "like father like son".

Topalov got a nice advantage from the opening and won a very desperately needed
game from the 15-year old Ponomariov.

Shirov totalled Sokolov in 24 moves with black! (*Pow!* *Kapwing!*)

After a 22 move victory yesterday, Korchnoi was downed in his second game by
Dolmatov. :(

Salov lost twice to the lower rated Milos!

Kramnik, Leko, Svidler, and Bareev successfully used the tactic draw with black
and strangle with white.

Almost every American player has been knocked out. :( Only Yermo and Kamsky
remain, and before this is over Kamsky may be assassinated in his sleep.

Hope you guys find this information interesting. Much more can also be found at:
