Genius5 & 6 is the same 16 bit engine.
Genius6 interface is very nice and improved over G5, but I have to wonder if it
is worth the differnce in price?   It shows a tree of variations & can run
different engines (like Fritz5).  Both versions support pgn. & cbf.  G6 has a
larger opening book, but I heard (or read), that it is not a well tuned book,
but just a big converted game file. G5 might even be the better deal if you got
the Gold version, then other Genius programs are on the CD, including previous
Dos versions...

Frankly, I was disgusted (as I often am), about the things we found out about
the upgrade, only after the program was discussed extensively here. Perhaps you
can read the many archived post about it here, although I'm not sure how you
would find those post.  Hope this helps...
