I did give it a go, but the shared memory stuff is system specific. I have
boiled down to just two errors:
bash-2.02$ gcc -O9 -mpentiumpro -march=pentiumpro *.c
knightcap.c: In function `create_threads':
knightcap.c:928: `IPC_PRIVATE' undeclared (first use in this function)
knightcap.c:928: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
knightcap.c:928: for each function it appears in.)
knightcap.c:938: `IPC_RMID' undeclared (first use in this function)
knightcap.c: In function `parse_options':
knightcap.c:1022: `optarg' undeclared (first use in this function)
bash-2.02$

The missing macros are the problem (the missing prototype for optarg is not a
big deal, but I would fix it at some point by just adding the prototype if I
wanted to pursue it.)

But quite frankly, it is not interesting enough for me to pursue. If I had a
thousand processor system, I would be hot to trot to get it working. But I
suspect it would be a dissapointment on a 500 MHz pentium III.
