I have a problem creating 4 piece tablebases with Eugene's tbgen.exe First I created tablebases with "tbgen -m 64 -p kppk" and kbk up until kppk were created in one run without problems, in total 60 files However, when I wanted to do the same with "tbgen -m 64 -p kpkp", sometimes at the end of a file the following error occurs and the process is stopped: *** Couldn't map view of file .\kqkq.nbb with MapViewOfFile() This kqkq.nbb can be another file as well. The file mentioned is present. I can start the process again and it seems to go on where it stopped. What's going on and are the files ok or maybe corrupted? Second question, is it neccesary to create kkpp (and underlying) tablebases when you have kppk already. Each set seems to be created for black and white, or is kppk for white pawns only, in perspective of white'e and black's side? Kind regards, Ernst-J.
