Hey Walter How would the Mach IV go against the Risc 1? I'm currently playing it against cm6000 at 30sec a move and the first two games have been drawn. In fact in both games cm6000 had the Risc in front (2.28 in one game) but Risc blew two difficult endings. The Risc also beat Tal 2 at the same time settings.Yet when it gets beaten it gets beaten badly.Another thing I've noticed is that it is a lot slower than the pc programmes at solving any set position. For example cm6000 finds the answer to the following puzzle in 10seconds whereas Risc took 30 minutes.4K1kr/4B1Pp/7P/4P3/8/3P4/8/5q2/w... Still I think it's a pretty good programme and would be interested to hear yours and other people's thoughts on it. Allan
