I was wondering if anyone out here can help gather some data for me. I am
interested in knowing how many tournament games have at some point in the game
was down to just pawns. I dont care how many. My hope is that someone with
access to a large database can pull the following information.
ie:
Total # of tournament games =
Games that have ended with the following pieces:
# of white pawns # of black pawns number of games
5 5
5 4
5 3
5 2
5 1
5 0
4 5
4 4
4 3
4 2
4 1
4 0
3 5
3 4
3 3
3 2
3 1
3 0
2 5
2 4
2 3
2 2
2 1
2 0
1 5
1 4
1 3
1 2
1 1
1 0
I know this seems perhaps like alot of work but I am hoping someone may have
this type of data or can generate it fairly easily.
