Subject: Using Winboard with Crafty and some other questions

I would like to run some tests on unusual openings, with
2 computers using identical hardware and software.
Now I know a couple of people have posted how to do
this, but I don't remember when it was posted.

Need to run a null-modem cable with winboard with
2 computers without the internet. I would also
like to train crafty and a modified crafty against
Hiarcs 7.32 and the newest version of Junior, ditto
for Fritz.

Thanks in advance...

My other question concerns the force command in
crafty. Am I correct in assuming that crafty waits
for the move e.g. do a ALT-CTRL-1 and type force e5-e6
or whatever... is this frowned upon on FICS or ICC?

In any case it caused crafty to loss on time for some
reason. Was the notation wrong or was crafty waiting
for a terminator symbol?? I'll probably never try
this again...
