I recall the original Diamond/Sapphire earned an action rating comfortably above 2300. The number 2383 sticks in my mind, but .... I own an original Diamond, and am convinced it plays Master level chess. This is just opinion, of course. True, it's strong suit is tactics, but the same can be said of many human Experts and low-level Masters. Tactical proficiency can take you a long way. ;) Robert M.
