For those interested there are a number of WinBoard programs that work fine
as engines in Fritz 5.32.
GNUChess, Gromit, Crazy Bishop: There are ready setups at ChessBase, using
WinBoard adapter.
AnMon426, LGGold, Inmichess, Fortress: Ready for Fritz 5.32. There are
init.files in the programs. Just
follow the written instructions,
using WinBoard adapter.
Phalanx21, ZChess210, Arasan52, Bionic41: For these programs I had to write
init.files, following the example
of AnMon. In Parameter - CommandLine
just write the commandline you use
in WinBoard ini for respec.program.
Then use WinBoard adapter.
Instructions how to use WinBoard adapter are to be found at ChessBase.
In Fritz you can let the programs use the General.ctg as openingbook.
Or Powerbooks-99 if you have it.
