Here is my two cents.  The rating on FICS varies between low 1900 and the highs
you see above.  I think it's safe to say it's real rating is somewhere in
between.   So 2100 may be a good guess.  The problem with FICS is there is a lot
of cheating there (In my opinion).  I was shown how easy it is to use CM6K and
Winboard on the same screen to cheat.  With a little practice cheating at blitz
is possible so cheating at longer/standard time controls is very easy.  My
computer account has lost several games to 1800 players there who played
brilliantly until the game was an easy win and then looked just like an 1800
player mopping up the victory. :-(
