Hi everybody ! Last year I bought a nice box with a new Sierra Power Chess 98. After instolation I couldn't start the program because it gave me a message that the program was ARREADY running ! I reinstalled it hundreds of time and sometimes I could started but in 99% I failed. I sent an e-mail to Sierra and I was very lucky to get an answer. Of course, it was a problem with my PC, because I had old drivers ! But I have just bought a new PC and the new drivers didn't exist in nuture yet ! As it turned out very soon, thousands of people had the same or very simmuler problem with that Power Chess and it was so buggy that Sierra stopped to produse it. But I lost my 50 bucks. Now I have Fritz 5.32, Junior 5.32 and Hiarcs 7.32 installed on my PC. Whenever I want to check a crosstable of an engine tournament, the program crushes and gives me a message : Hiarcs ( Fritz, Junior) caused an invalid page fault in module "unknown" at 0000:00000020. I have already sent this question before to our newsgroup and to Steve but nobody could solve this puzzle. Do I have to change my drivers or somebody else have the same problem ?! Is it another problem with my PC ? But now I want to tell you want has happened just yesterday. I played an engine tournament and also took part in it. It was a 5 min. blitz and I played just 5 games with the top engines and lost all games without ant chances. Engines played with each other all night and this morning I wanted to finish playing my games. I opened the crosstable and found out that Hiarcs 7.32 took the first place. But to my deepest surprise I found that I WON two games against Fritz 5 and another engine !!! But I lost those games !!! And after those wrong results Fritz 5 lost one point and enstead of taking the clear second place it ended on the fourth one. Who can guarantee that the other results in the table are correct ? And as usually , when I closed the crosstable the program crushed. Something wrong with my drivers or this time with ChessBase products ? I'll be very happy to get any answer and solution because these crushes are very annoying for me. Thanks Anatoli
