Hello Andrew. Anmon is using something "close to MTD ()", which is a quote from an email by Christian Barreteau, the author of (AN-ge, De-MON). I am quoting from memory as I got that email some time in January, February this year. However, I never pursued the topic later on due to a variety of reasons. What I know though is that due to this approach, AnMon is in need of very large hash. BTW, this program (particularly the latest version, 4.27) often plays spectacular chess and appears to be one of the most original computer chess players lately. Regards, Djordje
