Ed, I strongly agree with the decision. I was just examining all the pros and cons, rhetorically. Another point I did not make was that Rohde had *not* erred already, due to time pressure, and was unlikely to do so in the next couple of moves. So the strategy of moving faster when the opponent was in time pressure had in this instance failed to actually induce an error, although it may somehow have kept Rohde from finding a more advantageous way to play, as a distraction, assuming Rohde might have had a better way to play. Good job, Ed, learning from the first Rohde game (Rebel did some very successful things there, although it blundered and lost in the end), and also with the Rebel successes in the last two games! I'm looking forward to seeing the next several GM Challenge matches. --Steve Boak
