This market isn't very important at the moment but it's future for chess. besides product create market. In France, by example, Palmpilot isn't known by chessplayer. It's known a little as Organiser and it's all. When i show friends my wonderful tiny chessboard with games database (Chesspad) they're astounded. They all want one (unfortunately prices of PalmV here stop many of them). It take some time but i'm sure soon with low prices and more power all chessplayer will have a pocketchessboard with database and strong engine. >Especially with a $15 shareware program already out there which will satisfy 90% of the user base. You right, even if i give with pleasure 100$ for a good one, i'm not sure many other do it. One the other hand many people bough Millenium who is more expensive than CM6000 or Fritz (and even bought all of them) so we can not be sure of market reaction ! in fact if people have a nice program who satisfy them and someone told them "you're shareware is a pity, mine is stronger" many want acquire the stronger doesn't matter anything. > >But we can dream. :) Lang, give us MicroGenius! Morsch, give us Fritz Jr! Perhaps too many works for them, but wchess is yet adapted for a poor hardware so it'll may be possible to convert it for palm with less money ? perhaps it's not a dream :) > >In the meantime, wait for PocketChess 2.0.
