IM Kim Commons is a very difficult opponent to beat, as he is learning to 'specialize' in drawing computers. Crafty loses very few games vs him at any time control, but he gets an unusual number of draws (that I am working on). Others like Shirov and Kamsky are also very good (Shirov has a significant edge) but only Kamsky plays a lot of computer games, and he tends to play 'real chess' most of the time as practics, while Shirov will try to squeeze you to death without letting the game get too open to control. The first two I mentioned are serious problems, however. For any program.
