Read my own follow-up to my original post. I guess there are three brief points I want to make. 1. The winner of the FIDE tournament deserves every credit for an outstanding achievement - - and he gets the title of FIDE World Champion. 2. If I had to assemble a team to play in a must-win situation, I would still pick Kasparov, Anand, Kramnik, etc, for one simple reason: I believe they would be the best bet to win. 3. My original post was slightly facetious; but I do think that in the current FIDE format a chess program would be extremely dangerous. Cheers, Mark
