Suggestions? I run linux on all my machines.. I have a quad pentium pro 200, a quad xeon 400, this PII/300 notebook, plus a bunch of machines scattered all over our department running linux. Sun is simply not worth the money. Anything I can buy from them, I can buy from intel at 1/2 to 1/4 the cost, and at least 2x to 4x the performance. makes you wonder, doesn't it? Windows NT seems to run fine. But if you insist on unix, get the same box but run Linux. It is at least as reliable as any windows or solaris or you-name-it system... And the price is right...
