If I've got the position epd copied correctly, this is what standard Rebel 9
plays:

 9.00 -0.07 Rf8-c8 Rb1-b2 Rc2-c7 Nd2-e4 Nd6-f5 d5-d6 Rc7-c2
10.00 -0.08 " " " " " Rb2-e2 Ba7-d4
11.00 -0.04 " " Rc2xb2 Ba1xb2 Rc8-c2 Bb2-a1 Nd6-f5

Could it be that in the Aegon Tournament a small bug in the en passant
programcode (maybe just for Black?) was discovered? Just a guess. It's a
notorious place for bugs to hide for years, then to show up preferably during a
very important tournament, according to Christian Donninger (Nimzo's
programmer). On his homepage you can read his article on several sorts of (chess
programming) bugs, if you can read German.

Shep, what was the "infamous hash influence" in games with PB on? Does PB stand
for Pawn Base?

Regards,Eelco.
