Subject: Is it wise to keep any kind of learning on, when playing speed chess?

I noticed that when i do engine vrs engine matches with Hiarcs7.32 and other
chessbase engines that have these learning features, after 50 or so blitz games
i sometimes have a really weird "learned" opening book that was created from the
book learning! Lets say Hiarcs won its first game with the opening move b4 or
maybe g3, then it will play these lines all the time until it starts losing with
these lines. After these kind of matches, my learned opening book would
only play e4 and b4 or in another case it would only play g3 and b3?
I know that i can turn off the tournament mode to get my normal book back or i
could also re-set the book but is this learning feature mainly for developing an
opening book against its opponent or was it developed mainly to kill another
program early on.
Also, is it wise to have the position learning on in blitz matches with engine
vrs engine, because the games not being of high enough quality?

Thanks for any input on this topic,
Regards,Terry
