In general, the learning influence of Blitz games is less than that of
tournament TC games, but you are right, if you are playing dozens of Blitz
games, the small values add up to something significant.

I have adopted the custom of either starting every new tournament with a fresh
book (especially since I have many engines using the General.ctg) or keeping
separate copies of books with learning from Blitz and tournament games.

Book learning is a wonderful thing as long as you stick to one type of time
control only (some occasional Blitz games don't matter much, though).
