Thanks for the information! So Linux comes with C/C++ AND Fortran. Great. Yeah the cost is really bad for the C++ dev. envir. for Solaris. Is there a BASIC compiler available? It's good to hear first hand knowledge. Everyone was trying to sell me a Sun, but perhaps that would have been a mistake. Thanks again.
